ABOUT ME
I have a Masters degree in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire. As well as my private practice in Thatcham, near Newbury, Berkshire, I have previous extensive experience working within a NHS Community Mental Health Team and as an HM Prison's Counsellor.
When seeking a psychotherapist or counsellor to work with you it is important they are supported by and/or accredited with a professional (governing) body, this ensures they have the appropriate training and experience. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP): www.bacp.co.uk and I abide by their code of ethics.
I regularly attend training seminars and talks to ensure my knowledge and practice is continuously updated and enhanced.
I have a Diploma in Supervision and from September 2016 until July 2024 I was a lecturer at Farnborough College of Technology teaching up to Diploma level and have previously taught counselling at Westminster Adult Education Services and Hertford Regional College.
Through my work with teaching, the NHS and HM Prison Service I have Enhanced DBS clearance and I have professional indemnity insurance.
