I have a Masters degree in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire. As well as my private practice in Thatcham, near Newbury, Berkshire,  I have previous extensive experience working within a NHS Community Mental Health Team and as an HM Prison's Counsellor. 


I also have a Diploma in Integrative Supervision and I am a lecturer on a Counselling Diploma course at  Farnborough College of Technology and have previously taught counselling at  Westminster Adult Education Service and Hertford Regional College.


I regularly attend  training seminars and talks to ensure my knowledge and practice is continuously updated and enhanced and am currently studying for a Diploma in Counselling Supervision. 


When seeking a psychotherapist or counsellor to work with you it is important they are supported by and/or accredited with a professional (governing) body, this ensures they have the appropriate training and experience.  I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP): www.bacp.co.uk and I abide by their code of ethics.


Through my work with teaching, the NHS and HM Prison Service I have Enhanced DBS clearance and I have professional indemnity insurance.
